Hi Friends!
Fall blew in this week when the temperature dropped 30 degrees overnight and left frost over much of the state. It also blew in some updates to my website: a SHOP and a NEWSLETTER.
Starting today, I’m offering prints (and originals) of 6 recent works that encapsulate my feelings this autumn. They will be available for the next several months as a limited run of prints, before being swapped out with a new selection for winter.
What’s on offer? Head on over to my shop page and see for yourself! This batch is a mix of fine art paintings and playful illustrations, selectively chosen to capture that end-of-summer, cozy times ahead, bittersweet feeling of fall.
Also, I’ve added a place for you to sign up for my newsletter, which I will send out on a routine basis to keep you up-to-date on upcoming sales and studio happenings. It will include links to interesting articles as well as some brief (and hopefully insightful and amusing) tidbits on what’s currently got my creativity a’buzzing. I hope you’ll sign up and perhaps even email me to introduce yourself!
Finally, I’d like to mention that the launch of my new shop is in tandem with the Virtual Riverfront Fine Arts Festival, which is taking place this weekend and can be accessed through their web portal: https://northfieldartsguild.org/arts/visual-arts/rfaf/2020-virtual-riverfront-fine-arts-festival/
Links to all of the participating artist’s shops will go live on Saturday, September 12th. I hope you’ll check out the other shops and support these talented, hardworking artists.
I don’t know about you, but art has been what’s kept me going this year. In the onslaught of bleak and exceptional chaos, I have been able to rely on art — both making it and looking at it — to keep my eyes and heart attuned to hope, beauty, and wonder. It has been my calm in the storm, and I hope the fruits of my persistent daily work practice can provide some calm for you, too.
Be well. Be Creative. Be Curious. Make.
Fondly, Jacque
